There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The United Nations has designated the first Monday in October as annual World Habitat Day. On this day, we reaffirm that adequate shelter is a basic human right and we focus on the conditions of cities and towns around the world. We also use this day to remind the world of its collective responsibility for the future of the human habitat.
On October 5, 2009, please join us in support of World Habitat Day, as we raise our voices and declare that the lack of decent, affordable housing is unacceptable. The College of Architecture at Georgia Tech and Habitat for Humanity International will co-host a panel event: Housing after the Crash...Creating Better Options for our Future in the Reinsch-Pierce Family Auditorium.
