On September 17, 2013, the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering held its 7th Annual Aerospace Engineering Expo, coinciding with National Aerospace Week. The event took place in the Clough Atrium in the new Clough Undergraduate Learning Center on campus.
The main highlight of the event was the booths showcasing research from almost every lab within the School of AE. Beside the displays in the Clough Atrium, there were also lab tours to the Aerospace Systems Design Lab (ASDL), the John J. Harper Wind Tunnel, and the Cognitive Engineering Center's Flight Simulator.
This year saw the highest attendance yet, with over 300 students and distinguished guests. The School's external advisory council (AESAC) annual meeting also coincided with the AE Expo. About 15 AESAC members were among the attendees. They were delighted with the research displays and the chance to interact with the students and other visitors.
The event was organized by the School of AE Student Advisory Council (SAESAC), and was sponsored by the Georgia Center for Innovation - Aerospace; the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) - Atlanta Chapter; and the Daniel Guggenheim School of AE.
