Dr. Fawcett began his career with The Aerospace Corporation in 1992 following his education at Georgia Tech.  His early years were spent in the Air Force's Space and Missile Systems Center launch vehicle programs, providing aerodynamic analyses on the Titan IV program and a wide variety of other launch vehicle programs.  During a two-year tenure in Colorado Springs, he supported Air Force Space Command, providing strategic planning and requirements development for the military use of space systems.  For the last 15 years, Dr. Fawcett has supported space programs within the Intelligence Community.

While at Georgia Tech, Dr. Fawcett's graduate research on Spatial Correlation Velocimetry within the School's Center of Excellence for Rotary Wing Aircraft Technology led to the SIGMA XI Top Ph.D. Dissertation Award, as well as a patent with co-inventor Dr. Narayanan Komerath of Georgia Tech.
