Eugene, Ore. - AE student Jonathan Gardner finished seventh overall in the men's triple jump, earning All-America honors at the NCAA Track and Field Championship at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon's campus. Gardner had placed 11th at the NCAA East Regional with a leap of 15.36 meters (50-4.75) to punch his ticket to the NCAA Championships. The AE junior from Chicago, IL, made a career-best leap of 15.92 meters (52 feet, 2 3/4 inches) on his third jump, after recording distances of under 14 meters on his first two attempts, to place fourth in his flight and qualify for the finals. The top nine individuals moved onto the finals, where Gardner's jump held up.

Indoor:
Took fifth place with his best triple jump of the indoor season at 15.23m (49'113/4) at the Rod McCravy invite
Ran part of the 4X400-meter relay that crossed the line ninth in 3:19.47
Placed 10th at the ACC Championships with a triple jump of 14.76m (48'51/4)
Outdoor:
Helped the 4X100-meter relay team place second (41.05) at the Georgia Intercollegiate Invite
Took first place in the triple jump 14.89m; (48'101/4) at the same meet
Recorded a distance of 15.00m (49'21/2) for second place at the UCF Invite
Earned points for Tech in all three of his events at the ACC Championships - fourth in the 4X100-meter relay (41.54), fifth in the triple jump (15.21m; 49'11) and seventh in the long jump (7.16m; 23'6)
Logged a collegiate-best triple jump of 15.71m (51'61/2) at the Georgia Tech invite
