On March 20, 2013, Susan Jackson, AE's  Assistant Director for Administrative Ops, was among a group of blood donors who were gathered for a very unusual meeting. Supermodel Niki Taylor was in a serious car accident in 2001. She needed more than 100 blood transfusions during her treatment, and it took more than 300 blood donors to provide the blood and blood products she needed to survive.
