Dr. Zahra Sotoudeh will join the faculty of the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering (MANE) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) as an Assistant Professor in August 2012.
Dr. Sotoudeh performed her studies at the School of AE at Georgia Tech under the supervision of Prof. Dewey Hodges. She received an M.S. in 2009 and a Ph.D. in 2011. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at Virginia Tech, working with Prof. Bob Canfield. She has published two books, five journal articles and several conference papers. Her research interests include aeroelasticity, computational structural dynamics and nonlinear vibration.
Zahra received her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 2004 from Tehran Polytechnic, Tehran, Iran and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineeinr in 2006 from Sharif Unviersity of Technology in Tehran, Iran.
