There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Our AE School organized and hosted the Space Shuttle Symposium here at Georgia Tech on June 6-8, 2011. Many of the key individuals, active and retired, who devoted themselves and their careers to making the Shuttle Program a spectacular success, were present. The Symposium Proceedings, which contains transcripts of all the session presentations and panel discussions, along with the streaming videos, are now available for free download.

This is a 284 page document featuring the following contents:

1. Symposium program
2. Transcripts of all sessions, panels and the Banquet Keynote with slides
3. Links to the videos of each session and panel
4. Report on the student involvement (invited students)
5. Brief history of the Shuttle program
6. Summary of the accomplishments of each of the Orbiters
7. List of all the Shuttle Program managers

The Proceedings are available as a PDF file in either of two versions. The version with high-definition figures is 140 Mb in size and will take time to download, but another version with compressed figures (all but the smallest details are readable) is only 30 Mb in size. Either or both can be downloaded from the Symposium web page.
