The Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience is growing again with the addition of two new faculty members, Timothy Charles Cope and Steven L. Goudy.
Cope comes to the Petit Institute’s interdisciplinary research community from Wright State University, where he was professor and chair in the Department of Neuroscience, Cell Biology, and Physiology. Cope, who also was director of the Wright State University & Premier Health Neuroscience Institute, is familiar with the local landscape: he was a professor in the Department of Physiology at the Emory University School of Medicine from 1994 to 2004.
Goudy is an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, throat physician) who recently began his appointment at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where he is director of the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology. He’s currently acting associate professor in Emory’s Department of Otolaryngology.
The addition of Cope and Goudy gives the Petit Institute 169 faculty members.
