When you think of diversity champions at Georgia Tech, is there a particular student, faculty or staff member, or unit that comes to mind? If so, please take a moment to nominate that individual or unit for the Diversity Champion Awards.
The Diversity Champion Awards recognize full-time students, faculty and staff members, and units who have actively demonstrated and positively promoted the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Georgia Tech campus community. One member of the faculty, staff, and student body, and a unit (e.g. college, department, school, or lab) will be selected and recognized at the 2015 Diversity Symposium Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, September 9.
“The Georgia Tech community benefits from an increasingly diverse environment,” said Archie Ervin, vice president and chief diversity officer at the Institute. “Inclusive excellence is fundamental to our aspirations of defining the technological research university of the 21st century, and these awards are intended to honor those campus leaders who are building a culture of inclusion and equity.”
Nominations will be accepted until July 17, 2015. For award criteria and the online nomination form, click here.
