Full Summary: Professional/Personal Two Day Training funded by the Clare Boothe Luce Program

The Office of Institute Diversity invites you to apply to be considered for participation in the 2015 Future Faculty Workshop, which will focus on preparing women for faculty positions at different types of institutions. The workshop will provide insights on the following topics:

  • The application process and professional requirements
  • The varying expectations at different institutions
  • How to obtain funding
  • How to become a published author
  • How to maintain a personal life while being successful professionally

Several female Georgia Tech faculty members will serve as presenters and mentors at the 2015 Future Faculty Workshop, and representatives from other institutions will also be in attendance. This workshop is partially modeled after previous successful Future Faculty Workshops conducted at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of California Santa Barbara, among others, but this event is the first Future Faculty Workshop that is focused on women and work-life balance. A total of 40-45 Georgia Tech graduate students and/or post-docs will be chosen to participate in this special workshop. Please apply as soon as possible. Please go to http://diversity.gatech.edu/2015-future-faculty-workshop no later than June 3, 2015.
