Faculty & Staff Wellness Hikes are beginner friendly three to five mile guided hikes conducted at a leisurely pace. These hikes are scheduled close to Atlanta so you can get up, get out, and get home before lunch on Saturday, and still have time for the rest of your busy weekend.
If you're an early riser meet for breakfast at the Mountain Biscuit Company at 7 a.m. Afterwards, join the rest of the group at the base of little Kennesaw Mountain for a trek over little Kennesaw and up to the top of big Kennesaw. A local historian will accompany us on this trek to share details about the fierce battle that took place at the base of the mountains prior to Atlanta Falling to General Sherman's Union Army in 1864.
