On April 13th, OIE honored and bid farewell to our spring 2015 graduates and 2014-2015 exchange students at the annual International Student Graduation Reception. The event was a big success with over 100 students and administrators in attendance. Guests were treated to live music from the GT jazz band and a dessert reception. Students also had a great time taking pictures in the GT themed photo booth. Students were able to leave with a small memento to remember the event and all of their great times at GT.

The highlight of the evening were the two student speakers: Tianhao Li and Maria Silva Willson. Maria is OIE’s 2015 International Student Leadership Award recipient. Tianhao has been heavily involved with OIE through his work as a check-in assistant, Georgia International Leadership Conference delegate, and NAFSA Advocacy Day participant. During their remarks, both students reflected on their time at GA Tech, congratulated the Class of 2015 on their upcoming graduation, and explained how GA Tech has equipped the graduates with the skills and knowledge for successful careers and the ability to make a positive difference in the world.

Overall, the night was a huge success. Congratulations to the Class of 2015!
