On Thursday, April 16, Georgia Tech will host its third annual Lavender Graduation, a celebration that recognizes the accomplishments of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer graduates.
Families of LGBTQ graduating students are invited to attend this special and memorable event. The evening will begin with a reception featuring hors d'oeuvres and beverages at 6:30 p.m., and then attendees will enjoy a ceremony in which the Dean of Students will present the graduates with their Lavender Diplomas.
This year, the new LGBTQIA Resource Center will present the inaugural Lavender Awards to faculty, staff, students, and alumni who have made significant contributions to the inclusion and wellbeing of Tech's LGBTQ communities.
