Summaries

Summary Sentence: Bioinspired Art

Full Summary: The ability to visually represent conceptual thought is fundamental to any field of endeavor, whether from the point of external observation or internal diagrams and projections. It is the intention of this course to explore the art of drawing in both theory and technique in order to explore the natural world around us. Studio work will begin with a series of direct observation exercises using still life constructions. Each student will be asked to investigate a relevant topic from discussions on biology and nature using the visual drawing methods taught. Media is mixed, from pencil, charcoal, to watercolor, all can be introduced and used in this section.
