The Energy Expo is a conference and showcase about the changing energy landscape in the Southeast.  It is hosted by the Energy Club at Georgia Tech in partnership with the American Energy Society and it is open to the public. We are calling researchers in the energy space to show off the latest technologies, and challenge policy makers to have the same innovation. http://www.energyexpo.gatech.edu

Review of issues and risks facing the energy industry in Georgia, particularly with respect to infrastructure needs and training of a skilled workforce on new and existing technologies.

1 pm  Panel: Regulatory and Legal Framework

The current regulatory and legal landscape in Georgia and its barriers/opportunities. Panel will also focus on incentives (local, state, federal) for energy and manufacturing.

 2:15 pm      Panel: Access to Capital and Innovation Ecosystem

Discussion of barriers and opportunities for capital in Georgia. Focus on funding sources: public/private partnerships, VC, foreign direct investment, government sponsored research (DoD, DoE, DARPA, etc), as well as supply-chain analysis.

Expert/non-expert working session with reports and takeaways
