Talk: Technology Enterprise Park, room 104.  Seminar will be made available via videoconference in the U.A. Whitaker Building, room 1103.

 

Hemodynamic measurements have evolved tremendously over the last several decades.  This talk covers historical aspects and development of flow measurement techniques, many of which are still in use today.  In order to learn how we can improve the control of human hemodynamic parameters this equipment is also utilized in animals such as the giraffe, which presents an intriguing example of how blood pressure can be controlled.  The seminar will feature a case study of giraffe hemodynamics.
