There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

The math we learn in school can seem like a dull set of rules, laid down by the ancients and not to be questioned. In How Not to Be Wrong, Jordan Ellenberg shows us how wrong this view is: Math touches everything we do, allowing us to see the hidden structures beneath the messy and chaotic surface of our daily lives. It’s a science of not being wrong, worked out through centuries of hard work and argument.
This talk is part of Georgia Tech’s Science Matters lecture series. There will be a reception after the talk and time for visitors to chat with Ellenberg and each other.
You may park in the Burge Parking Deck ($1.00 per hour) - this offers a very short walk to the Theater. It's a short and direct walk from the Parking Deck to the Clary Theater.
* Note: Walking from the Parking Deck to the Theater does require crossing North Avenue and then climbing about 20 stairs.*
