There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

The IPaT Thursday Think Tank is a weekly opportunity to hear informal presentations of Georgia Tech’s research, network with colleagues, and enjoy refreshments and camaraderie. Listen to a short presentation, then discuss and brainstorm.
The connected home is taking off this year at a rapid pace after years of slow growth and adoption. With new offerings by big name companies from service providers (operators) to DIY big box retailers, we are seeing increased interest from companies big and small vying for a position in the game. These new models are flipping around the options for consumers from savvy DIYer or professionally installed high cost systems to a more mainstream model and placing the user in control of the rules that define their experience.
Please join us for this connected home (or perhaps "IoT at Home") ThinkTank session as we describe existing industry partnerships growing at the Aware Home and help consider how we can leverage this progress to improve the future products, applications, and user experience in the "new" connected home model.
Aware Home Research Initiative Director Brian Jones will present.
