There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Often lauded as a successful extension ofGeorgia Tech into the heart of Midtown, Tech Square may soon be entering its next phase, as a promising new project moves through the development.
Anchored by Georgia Tech, 771 Spring St. sits on the drawing board as a 680,000-square-foot public-private development and includes a 20-story office tower, a data research center, parking, and retail and office space on the ground floor.
Based on the eventuality of computer modeling and simulation replacing experimentation as the primary tool of science, the project seeks to combine academic use and corporate research within the mixed-use setting of Tech Square.
