Yahoo chairman invests in Atlanta software startup StarMobile

Mobile software startup, StarMobile has raised an undisclosed round from WebbInvestment Network (WIN), the investment vehicle of Yahoo Chairman Maynard Webb.

StarMobile, a Georgia Tech spinoff, says its technology can convert desktop enterprise software, such as Salesforce.comOracleand SAP, into a mobile applications for 80 percent less than third-party mobile platforms. 

StarMobile, which targets Global 2000 companies, gets paid a monthly fee for the use of the platform. Customer contracts run between one-and-three years.
