There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Long regarded as one of the premier examples of public-private partnership, Technology Square is getting ready for some major new additions that will bring together academic research, private development and startup entrepreneurship.
Georgia Tech is planning to build a new High Performance Computing Center on top of the fiber optic corridor that runs through Midtown. This massive data center will provide the computing power that Tech’s faculty and students need for advanced modeling and experimentation. In a bow to sustainability, the large amounts of heat generated by servers will be used for office and retail space that will be included as part of the facility.
