Jennifer Clark has been elected to serve as vice-chair and chair of the Economic Geography Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers (AAG). She will serve as vice-chair through 2016, at which point she will take up the position of chair through 2018.
(AAG) is a scientific and educational society whose purpose is to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among its members and other specialists; to stimulate research, teaching, and applications in industrial and economic geography; to aid in the advancement of its members and the field of economic geography; and to help represent economic geography within the discipline of geography and to related disciplines, agencies in government, the private sector, and the general public.
Jennifer Clark is an associate professor in the School of Public Policy and director of the Center for Urban Innovation. Her research focuses on the development and diffusion of regional policies and their effect on cities and their economic resilience.
