Earlier this month, IPaT hosted its 2015 “New Year” Town Hall.

Earlier this month, IPaT hosted its 2015 “New Year” Town Hall. IPaT executive director Beth Mynatt opened the meeting with a look at opportunities on the horizon for GT faculty and students, including seed grants, upcoming conferences and weekly events to foster networking and collaboration.

Mynatt outlined IPaT’s priorities for Spring 2015 in our key research areas, including initiatives in pediatrics, wearable computing, a STEM incubator, computational enterprise analytics and the upcoming Nobel Summit in Atlanta. Next month, we’re also conducting our Annual Research Survey across campus to assess research support needs for FY16 and beyond.

IPaT will continue to focus on strengthening current partnerships and developing new ones. “Georgia Tech’s leadership is amplified by the people we partner with and the work we can do together,” said Mynatt.

IPaT faculty and staff also provided brief updates about our partnerships in education, health, media, humanitarian systems, and enterprise transformation, including:

• Georgia P12 Schools
• Georgia STEM Incubator
• Health IT Showcase
• UCB (pharmaceuticals)
• Wearable Computing Center
• Samsung visitors program
• City of Atlanta
• Steelcase
• Nobel Peace Laureates Summit
