From Laser Diodes to Commercial Diode Laser Systems

Please join Russell Dupuis of the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering as he welcomes Patrick Leisching of Toptica Photonics to Georgia Tech!

Dr. Leisching will present an overview of his company, Toptica, which is based in Germany. Toptica develops, produces, and sells diode and ultrafast fiber lasers for scientific and industrial applications.

Dr. Leisching will deliver a presentation entitled “From Laser Diodes to Commercial Diode Laser Systems," where he will talk about the company's latest semiconductor research projects and their applications. He will provide an introduction to Toptica Photonics markets and technologies for scientific and OEM semiconductor laser systems. Selected GaAs/GaN/InGaAs semiconductor products and semiconductor research projects with their corresponding applications will also be discussed.

A Question & Answer session will follow Dr. Leisching's talk.
