ePortfolio Showcase: How Geogia Tech Instructors  are Using Mahara to Engage Students

Have you ever wished to assess student mastery of content and skills through real world deliverables?

Electronic portfolios push assessment of student learning beyond objective multiple choice exams. They provide a platform for students to share what they are learning with peers and the world when they graduate. Georgia Tech has adopted the open-source electronic portfolio platform Mahara to take teaching and learning at Tech to another level.

In this brown bag luncheon, GT learning technologists and instructors will share the effectiveness of using electronic portfolios for learning, as well as showcase how instructors are using Mahara in creative and innovative ways on campus.
