The Office of International Education hosted a welcome reception for its Incoming Exchange students last week. Over 50 students attended (far more than at similar events in past years). In addition to exchange students, at least a dozen GT students in the buddy program “Land at Tech” showed up to support their exchange matches. The event, held January 13th, provides newly arrived exchange students from around the world with an opportunity to spend social time together, to meet OIE staff, and degree-seeking GT students. The reception was held in the beautiful Ferst Room of the library, which overlooks campus from its 7th floor vantage point.
