On Thursday, January 15th, the Chinese Friendship Association hosted a resume workshop for Chinese F and J students. The guest speakers were Robbie Ouzts, Graduate Career Advisor, and Meg Popick, International Student Advisor. Around 50 students participated in the event. The students were provided a short demonstration on the intercultural aspects of resume writing and how the cultural values inherent to the U.S and China impact the format and content of a resume. This was followed by an explanation of career development and tips on writing a resume. Finally, students had the opportunity to provide their peers feedback on sample resumes they brought to the session.
