Georgia Tech students are invited to take sculpture classes free of charge in January at classes sponsored by Cherrylion Studios. A limited number of free registrations are available for three classes starting in mid-January on a first come-first serve basis. Students must register in person at the Student Center Box Office.
Classes start the week of January 13 and meet once a week for 10 weeks; Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening or Thursday evening.
The courses will be taught in Cherrylion Sculpture Studios with a relaxed and creative atmosphere. A live model is provided in an open-studio format and instruction is given in clay sculpture techniques and proportion as students are taught how to 'see' three-dimensionality. Individualized instruction is unique to each student and all levels are welcome. Instructor Martin Daw, a member of the Georgia Tech Arts Advisory Board, has 34 years of experience as a sculptor and is known for his numerous sculptures around Atlanta.
The courses will be held at Cherrylion Sculpture Studios, 889 Morris St NW Atlanta Ga, 30318. For more information or to sign up for a class, visit theStudent Center Box Office or call 404-894-9600.
