Summaries

Summary Sentence: Join us to discuss the impact of climate change on metro Atlanta.

Full Summary: The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) recently completed a study that developed a basic greenhouse gas inventory from residential electricity usage and automobile travel at a neighborhood level. While national debates over comprehensive action continue, federal government agencies, states, regions and cities across the United States have begun to investigate greenhouse gas emissions and to devise plans to reduce their own contributions to climate change. The ARC’s detailed neighborhood level climate change analysis seeks to inform planning level decisions across the Atlanta region. Join us to explore the results with the author of the study, David D’Onofrio, on December 5, 2014.
