There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Whether your car has cruise control, lane departure warnings or park assist, the vehicle you rely on to get around town already has some level of autonomy. But now, state lawmakers are looking ahead to the next generation of autonomous vehicles—driverless cars.
Bruce Walker (Psychology, Interactive Computing) said people often over-rely on technology and that can be a recipe for disaster on the roadways. That is why he believes Google’s approach may be the best option.
