William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board announced recently that three Georgia Tech faculty members have been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to do research at three distinguished universities around the world during the 2014–15 academic year.
Frank Dellaert, professor in the School of Interactive Computing, will be at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium doing research entitled "Modeling Historical Buildings from Registered 3D-Range and 2D-Image Data."
Janelle Knox-Hayes, assistant professor in the School of Public Policy, will be at the University of Iceland lecturing and doing research entitled "Comparative Analysis of Icelandic Environmental Policy."
Brian Woodall, associate profesor in the School of International Affairs, will be at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan doing research entitled "The Politics of 'Green Energy' Policy in Japan."
Dellaert, Knox, and Woodall are three of approximately 1,100 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program in 2014–15. The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars, a division of the Institute of International Education.
