There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Georgia Tech Chamber Ensemble, directed by Pete Ciaschini, will perform a concert titled "The Night of Musicianship," on November 12, 2014, in the Couch Hall Auditorium. The program features the world premiere performance of Engraving No. 1 in four movements ( I Frost, II Deeply Bitten, III Igneous, IV Creation) by Alice Mentzer. The names of the movements apply to the creative process of producing an engraving. The music was inspired by the fine engravings of the 19th and 20th centuries, which require great precision.
