Georgia Tech’s Institute for People and Technology hosts its annual People & Technology Forum on November 11-12, 2014 at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center.

This 2014 Forum will focus on “Connected Life” with keynotes and panel discussions providing thought-provoking discussions with insightful business leaders, brilliant researchers, and entrepreneurs examining how emerging technologies will shape the future of our society.  Panel discussions will focus on the future of smart cities and live, work, play communities; predictive and personalized healthcare; and connected cars and the future of driving. The keynote speakers for this year are Jia Chen, Director of Health Solutions for Smarter Cities at IBM; Kwanza Hall, Councilman, City of Atlanta; Bill Stead, Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Chief Strategy Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center; and Jeff Leddy, Chief Executive Officer of Verizon Telematics.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with over 100 startup, faculty, and student demos including a showcase of student innovations from CIC, a highly successful Georgia Tech student competition designed to tap into the innovative thinking and technical expertise of GT students. 

Past companies in attendance include: AT&T, Qualcomm, Panasonic, Steelcase, GM, Nielsen, Cisco, Coca-Cola, Cox Communications, Moxie, ESPN, Equifax, Hitachi, Humana, IBM, Invesco, Motorola Mobility, NCR, SunTrust, Turner, and UPS. Non-profit partners who attended the Forum included the City of Atlanta, Midtown Alliance, Emory University, Georgia State University, High Museum of Art, and The Ron Clark Academy.
