There will be a handful of representatives with PhDs from CDC who have lab-science backgrounds and will talk about their career paths outside of academia and some lessons learned. A highlighted fellowship is the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) is a unique 2-year post-graduate training program of service and on-the-job learning for health professionals interested in the practice of applied epidemiology.
