Celebrating Yahoo’s Gift Of 200 Servers

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Yahoo is sending Georgia Tech a gift of 200 servers! These servers, donated through the Yahoo STAR program (Yahoo Servers To Academic Researchers), will significantly contribute to Georgia Tech’s education and research activities, enabling large-scale hands-on education experience for undergraduate and graduate students and opening up new possibilities for data-intensive research. This donation represents yet another milestone between Yahoo Labs and Georgia Tech collaboration efforts.
