The transition to college is always an adjustment. Luckily, your students dining options are one less thing to worry about. We have a plethora of foods to choose from no matter how picky your students palette.

First and foremost, Dining Services is focused on providing healthy and sustainable options. We offer “Mindful” meals at several of our retail and resident dining locations campus wide. These meals and entrées will fill your student’s plate and stomach with fewer than 600 calories. What makes these meals so filling are the use of whole grains and fiber through clean vegetables, meats, fruits and grains. Fall is right around the corner and students can warm up with our Mindful soups. All soups are significantly lower in sodium with an average of 700mg per 8-oz. Students are able to satisfy their sweet tooth with desserts that have fewer than 200 calories and at least 1g of fiber from less refined sugar and more fresh fruits. All Mindful meals are easily accessible and identified by a green apple.

Students can also take advantage of an allergen free concept located in both our Woodruff and North Ave Dining Restaurants. This program is called Simple Servings and provides safe food choices for customers with food allergies, gluten intolerance, or other special dietary needs. The Simple Servings station offers simply prepared foods made without the FDA’s most common allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, gluten, wheat, soy, milk, and eggs.

Nutritionist Amber Johnson is always available to help students with any diet restrictions or concerns. We encourage students to explore the variety of services and resources listed below and establish healthy habits today.
