There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Grammy-nominated recording and mixing engineer Finis White, professionally and popularly known as KY Engineerin', in collaboration with students from the Georgia Tech, are creating a sound and art installation that captures ambient sounds of the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. Initiated by the Office of the Arts at Georgia Tech, the "Sounds of Atlanta" project will be a lasting legacy piece encompassing sound, visual art, technology and the soul of the Old Fourth Ward. Join KY and the Georgia Tech students who collaborated on this project for a panel discussion on Friday, Oct. 10 from 3-4PM on the #PAEmainstage at the A3C Festival in Atlanta to learn more about this interdisciplinary/collaborative creative process and where "Sounds of Atlanta" will go from here.
