IPaT Executive Director Beth Mynatt received a 2014 Mobility Star Award, which salutes excellence and advancements in mobility. The awards, presented by WNA at Atlanta’s MobilityLIVE! event, recognize five mobile technology leaders who have made a substantial impact in the past year creating and advancing adoption or innovative use of mobile technology, and that have helped grow Atlanta's mobile presence.
Mynatt was awarded together with Jonathan LeCompte, President, Georgia/Alabama Region, Verizon Wireless, Glenn Lurie, President & CEO, AT&T Mobility, Tom Daly, Group Director, Global Connections, The Coca-Cola Company and Aaron Hillegass, Founder and Chief Learning Officer, Big Nerd Ranch.
Mynatt leads the Midtown Buzz partnership between Georgia Tech and Midtown Alliance, the MyJourney Compass tablet computer program for breast cancer patients in Rome, GA, and hosts the twice-annual Convergence Innovation Competition at Georgia Tech. Through mobile innovation, each of these initiatives has impacted Atlanta and beyond.
