Summary Sentence: Graduate Communication Certificate Workshop on Visual Rhetoric

Full Summary: This 90-minute Graduate Communication workshop is for Georgia Tech graduate students who wish to complete part of their requirements for the GradComm Certificate program. One of our professional tutors from the Communication Center will conduct this workshop in Clough 447. For information on how to register, please visit: http://gradcommcert.gatech.edu/wp/index.php

In this workshop, we will examine the rhetorical uses of images, focusing on the process of interpreting images, the social connotations of images, the incorporation of images into design, and the balance between images and text in visual-based projects. There will be a question and answer segment following the presentation. As a result of attending this workshop you will better understand the impact that visuals have on interpretation and the complications associated with incorporating images into projects. Please contact Peter Fontaine (peter.fontaine@lmc.gatech.edu) if you need more information. *This workshop is directed towards graduate students. Postdocs are welcome as walk-ins as space allows.
