Georgia Tech has been selected as a national center of excellence in international business education and research. The Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), which has been led by Dr. John McIntyre for many years, received notification this week that GT's program application, "“A Technology University Globalization Model: Innovation and Sustainable Pathways to Local Engagement and Global Competitiveness" was selected. The number of CIBERs was reduced by 16 from the last round, and GT emerged as one of only 17 that will receive funding for the next four years. CIBERs are located at top, high visibility universities with a sense of mission regarding international competitiveness and globalization.
