Dr. Davenport received the B.S.E.E. (2004), M.S. (2007), and Ph.D. (2010) degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering, all from Rice University. He spent 2010 to 2012 as an NSF Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Statistics at Stanford University and the summer of 2011 as a visitor at the Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions, Universit� Pierre et Marie Curie. He joined the Georgia Tech faculty in July 2012 as a member of the Center for Signal and Image Processing.
Dr. Davenport's research interests include compressive sensing, low-rank matrix recovery, nonlinear approximation, and the application of low-dimensional signal models in signal processing and machine learning. Dr. Davenport shared the Hershel M. Rich Invention Award in 2007 for his work on the single-pixel camera and compressive sensing, and in 2011 he received the Ralph Budd Thesis Award from Rice University.
