There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Tech the Halls' mission is to create a long-standing tradition at Georgia Tech and the surrounding Atlanta community that allows underprivileged children to celebrate the holiday season with gifts and a lasting inspiration to strive for a positive future. The purpose is to give these children a chance to celebrate the holidays in the same manner that many of us are fortunate enough to experience. Sharing and receiving gifts during the holiday season is a privilege that many of these children have never been a part of, and Tech the Halls wants to give these children the same opportunity.
Georgia Tech students mentor the children and have the opportunity to take them shopping at Target with $100 to spend on gifts.
Applications for mentors are taken on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. The application can be found online.
