Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

All GA Tech students, international and non-international, are invited to attend a viewing of A World of Difference.  This DVD is used by many large corporate organizations that are looking for a way to “bring cultural factors to life” and explore the challenges that international teams face due to cultural misunderstandings.

Students will leave with the skills and knowledge required in today’s competitive global economy.  During this session, students will learn best practices to succeed in diverse international teams as well as improve their own intercultural communication skills.  Students will learn about the “subtleties, nuances, and hazards” involved whenever individuals from different cultures meet and work together, and how a lack of understanding of these differences in communication styles can lead to business failures.
Registration required at oie.gatech.edu/world_of_difference.

Sponsored by Center for Career Discovery and Development, Office of Diversity Programs and Office of International Education
