There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Attend this month's WST Learning Community dinner with Dr. Elisa Riedo in the School of Physics at Georgia Tech. Dr. Riedo is an Assistant Professor at the Georgia Tech School of Physics and a member of the American Physical Society and the American Chemical Society. She is a physicist whose research interests pertains to nanotechnologies, such as Nano-confined liquids, Nanotribology, NanoBioMechanics, and Nano-patterning. Dr. Riedo leads Georgia Tech's picoForce Laboratory, where students study interaction forces (e.g. friction forces, van der Waals forces, hydrophobic forces, capillary forces, bond forces, etc.) at solid and liquid interfaces. She received Ph.D. in physics from University of Milan- ESRF Grenoble (France) and B.S. in physics from the University of Milan (Italy). https://www.physics.gatech.edu/user/elisa-riedo
