Attend this WST Learning Community dinner with Dr. Katrina Johnson in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University. Dr. Johnson is an Assistant Professor at the Emory University Department of Psychology and the Associate Director of Residency Research. Her research focuses broadly on factors that increase risk for developing mood and anxiety disorders, including health behaviors, cognitive factors and neurobiological correlates. Dr. Johnson also serves as a psychologist for the Emory Transplant Center and conducts clinical assessments and consultations with pre- and post-transplant patients. She offers short-term, empirically-supported interventions to improve psychological functioning and manage the stressors associated with an intense medical regimen. Dr. Johnson earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Emory University, after receiving her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Emory School of Medicine, and then worked as a pediatric psychologist for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
