On Thursday, October 9th, Carey J. Fagan, Executive Director for International Affairs at the Federal Aviation Administration, will be speaking about "International Cooperation on Aviation Safety."  As the FAA’s Executive Director for International Affairs, Ms. Fagan develops international policy for the FAA; oversees the FAA’s international offices; and represents the FAA in international forums, including the International Civil Aviation Organization.  In this capacity she chairs a government/industry work group designed to enhance U.S. influence on global standards and operations.   Previously she directed the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization’s International Office and held posts in the aviation inspection and policy offices.  Prior to joining the FAA, she worked for various financial firms involved in major aircraft leasing. She holds a degree in Finance from the University of Georgia.

This event will take place at 1:30 in the Crescent Room of the Student Center. It is supported by the European Commission (Jean Monnet Chair) and is co-sponsored by the Nunn School's Center for European and Transatlantic Studies and by the School of Aerospace Engineering.
