H3 2014 Capture the FlagH3, the Georgia Tech Research Institute’s homegrown gaming series has announced the registration opening for the H3 2014 Capture the Flag (CTF). CTF is a hacking competition lined with flags set up online as well as in the physical space around them. CTF is carefully designed to promote cybersecurity awareness to college students in a fun and ethical way.
CTF brings forth an eye for dangers present in the 21st century that can compromise personal and national security. The competition encourages awareness of these threats, and the importance of cybersecurity and cybersecurity research. This competition builds on the H3 series commitment to helping college students understand and address cyber risks in a educational environment.
The H3 gaming series is proud to be partnered with the U.S Department of Homeland Security’s Stop.Think.Connect.Campaign. Additionally, Stop.Think.Connect. has established the National Network, comprised of non-profit groups that advocate and promote cybersecurity within their organizations and to their stakeholders.

Over the past five years H3 has developed an applied research security community through events like last seasons’ 2013/2014 Social Media Recon Challenge and previous Capture the Flag Competitons. The H3 series challenges and events enable students around the globe to get a hands-on experience in the world of cybersecurity.
