There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Sympathetic Vibrations (Symp Vibes) is an all-male a cappella group founded in the Fall of 1997. We usually have 12-15 active members as well as some members who are on co-op rotations or other various diversions. We arrange all our own music (mostly pop and classic rock) and rehearse three times weekly. We perform for various GT and private events and also hold a few of our own concerts at various campus venues each semester.
Fall 2014 Auditions will take place on August 26 & 27 from 8-10 pm in East Architecture 123. Callbacks will be held on August 28 from 8-9:30 pm (Location TBA). Below is some important information about auditions.
What is the audition like? Your audition will last about ten minutes. The audition consists of warm-ups, sight reading, tonal memory, and a 1-minute prepared solo.
What should I sing for my solo? Sing whatever makes you sound good! We think it’s smart to take into account what type of music we sing when choosing your solo. On some occasions, we may ask you to sing a small section of a second song to determine how you sound singing different styles of music. And of course, your solo must be completely a cappella.
What are callbacks? After the last audition on Wednesday night, we will send out emails asking some auditionees to come to callbacks on Thursday night. The callbacks are run just like our rehearsals. Essentially we want to see how effectively you can learn a song and how well you fit in with the rest of the group.
