There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. An understanding of the American university culture and use of campus resources is essential to academic success. During this session, Donna Llewellyn from the Center for Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) will discuss the U.S higher education system, what to expect in an American college classroom, and the role of a university professor. A representative from the Office of Student Integrity will explain academic issues related to the Student Conduct code and how these Georgia Tech policies may differ from standards at universities abroad. Students in attendance will also have the opportunity to learn about academic resources available to them to assist with their academic success. A representative from the Georgia Tech Language Institute will also be in attendance to explain English language resources available to English Language Learners. The session will conclude with a question and answer segment.
