Thomas Barker, Associate Professor in Georgia Tech's Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology, recently edited a special issue of the peer-reviewed journal Acta Biomaterialia. This special edition of the publication features 25 articles focused on natural building blocks for biomaterials design. Research materials and approaches discussed range from classic and well studied to emerging and third generation.
In addition to his editorial position, Barker was co-author on two featured papers. Georgia Tech Professors Krish Roy, Todd McDevitt, and M.G. Finn were also featured in the special edition.
